Rachel Ross-Stagg, MS, CHES

A healthy living advocate with experience in Health Education & Promotion, Rachel is driven to improve the health of communities.

Rachel’s passion for maternal and child nutrition drew her to Coffective after learning about several of its breastfeeding-focused initiatives. As Community Partnership Coordinator, Rachel works with local organizations to strengthen community partnerships for the benefit of overall maternal and child health. This includes providing technical assistance, resources, and content expertise to support community coordination and engagement efforts. Rachel especially enjoys helping organizations develop referral systems, build coalitions, and connect with community programs.

Prior to Coffective, Rachel worked as a Child Nutrition / Farm-to-Fork Specialist & Training Coordinator for a state Board of Education. In her role, Rachel conducted nutrition training and food program audits. She also led Community Nutrition Program outreach efforts, including working with local farmers to bring healthy foods to childcare settings. Rachel has served as a volunteer Nutrition Section Chair for her state public health association. She has also worked as WIC Nutritionist for a county health department, providing breastfeeding and nutrition education to families, and was the Menu & Nutrition Coordinator for a residential treatment center for adolescent girls.

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition from Utah State University as well as a Master of Science in Health Education & Promotion from Walden University. Rachel is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She is also a Specialty Instructor within Career Ladder, a professional development system overseen by Utah Department of Workforce Services educating early care and education providers.

Currently residing in Utah, Rachel and her husband enjoy skiing and hiking. They recently welcomed their first child, and cannot wait to take their daughter exploring the mountains year-round. Rachel loves to travel; some of her favorite places include the Philippines, Tuscany, and southern Utah. Rachel is also a Cooking Class Host with The Table Less Traveled, a boutique travel company that offers small group travel around the world with a focus on insider experiences from local chefs.
