“Quick Wins” are small, easy actions for improving maternity care outcomes.
Quick Wins can be started today because they require no leadership sign-off and no extra funding.
Inspired by the 2018 CDC Maternity Practices in Infant Nutrition and Care (mPINC) Survey Results Report, this toolkit provides everything you need to accomplish two Quick Wins designed to improve breastfeeding exclusivity and breastfeeding assessments before discharge.
The first step in quality improvement is knowing your starting point. This validated survey helps you equitably assess your birthing center’s maternity care practices through short patient interviews.
Also based on the mPINC Survey Results Report, this customized resource guide offers more ideas on how to improve your score by implementing evidence-based practices. Associated training, tools, activities, and workplan template are included to help you get started.
Are you looking for additional support in improving your mPINC scores? Get technical assistance in identifying and implementing strategies for tackling your birthing center’s improvement areas.
