Position

Provide support to the Manager, Public Health Initiatives (PHI) and Community Partnership Coordinators for local public health initiatives, grant advancement, communications, and project management. Assist local and tribal health departments/WIC to meet project goals and improve coordination efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Coffective public health team in day-to-day tasks and overarching project management and
    development.
  • Coordinate and provide project management support for local public health initiatives.
  • Attend local community technical assistance and sharing calls.
  • Identify grant opportunities and prepare grant applications; collaborate with other program initiative grant
    writers to advance public health initiatives. Manage work plans and timelines for existing public health grants.
  • Assist with evaluation for public health initiatives and grant reporting.
  • Design and develop marketing materials for public health initiatives.
  • Assist with identifying, recording, writing, presenting, and sharing best practices and lessons learned.
  • Act as liaison between local communities receiving community partnership technical assistance and the
    Coffective team to provide project updates, feedback for technology and identified opportunities for resources
    and lessons learned development.
  • Support knowledge management on a regional level by understanding needs and gaps across communities
    within different states and be a liaison for sharing lessons learned and network building.

    • Identify and coordinate resource creation to support the needs of local communities.
    • Identify and coordinate opportunities for communities, working on similar projects, to connect and share lessons learned.
    • Identify and coordinate opportunities for state program alignment with local community efforts.
  • Review, edit, and format documents in line with company branding.
  • Work with other teams, including technology and communications, to integrate public health needs.
  • Coordinate and follow-up on meetings including agenda preparation, dissemination, note-taking and multi-partner meeting scheduling.
  • Use tracking tools provided to document all community organization interactions, including thorough and
    organized documentation of interactions, note taking, and data input into databases.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date calendar.
  • Assist state and local organizations with orientation, navigation, and use of the Coffective Dashboard and
    provide connections to resources and tools.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary degree (undergraduate) in a related field.
  • A minimum of two years direct Women Infant Childrens (WIC) Program experience is required.
  • A minimum of two years experience in public health, outside of WIC, is preferred.
  • Experience working in local tribal public health/WIC or with indigenous communities is preferred.
  • Maternal Child Health experience preferred, and knowledge of lactation and familiarity of resources is
    desirable.
  • Two years of experience in grant writing, project management, and community collaborative initiatives is
    preferred.
  • Experience using online databases to record and report information.
  • Proven experience with effective communication within the public health community including grant
    opportunities and applications.
  • Lived experience as a member of a marginalized group is valued.

Licensure / Certification

None required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including document creation, presentation and/or public
    speaking skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • An understanding of community development, coordination, and relationship development preferred.
  • Knowledgeable or interested in the promotion and support of an equity approach to both clinical and
    community work.
  • Understands different types of data measurement and collection; including the ability to support identifying
    data measures to track success of collaborative initiatives.
  • Experience with project or task management software and tools (i.e., Asana, Dropbox, Zoom, Airtable, Miro,
    or similar) preferred.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience collaborating and building relationships with people
    from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and group facilitation skills.
  • Ability to strategically guide projects to accomplish the larger vision and goals, while aligning many partners interests and needs.
  • Highly organized and motivated with extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Time-management skills including ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment and complete work within deadlines.
  • An understanding and acceptance of racial equity, inclusion, and diversity concepts is required.

Other Requirements

  • Technology: Reliable internet connection is required with virtual meeting features of sound and video working.
  • Remote Workspace: Candidates must have a home office space and have capability to participate in video meetings and phone calls without distractions or frequent interruptions of childcare, other employment, personal matters, or other potential persistent distractions.
  • Working Hours: Core hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm in the time zone where the candidate resides. Must generally spend a minimum of 80% of working time during core hours. Candidates must have the flexibility to accommodate other time zones; the majority of work is in CST and EST.
