The curriculum presents the evidence-based benefits and the science of breastfeeding, while also focusing on motivating provider behavior change.
The 3-hour series fulfills the requirements for provider education as part of Baby-Friendly Step 2 of the 10 Steps to Successful Breastfeeding.
The training includes a pediatric and obstetric-specific hour to allow targeted breastfeeding management discussions.
Continuing Education Credits Provided
Providers will complete 3 hours of education in total. Continuing Medical Education credit is provided through the National Medical Association.
